Monologues, Rants, And Speeches Oh My

The rants and raves category on the main community blog is just that. An open call for us to showcase the “opinions on steriods” we find in our suer blogs, or forums, or from our personal diatribes. If you got something to say don’t be afraid to put it out there. You can either a publish it on a free sub blog or in the forums.
As always these guidelines apply.
Things to avoid

Please avoid using profanity – posts containing curse words or other vulgarities will be deleted and the user account of the poster deleted.

Overly commercial messages – things added tot his forum need to contribute somehow to the community and the ongoing conversation here. Posts that are simply overt advertisements or spammy in nature will be automatically deleted. Having a commercial or business message is great (we’re business people), but try to contribute something meaningful or unique in your posts and put your commercial calls to action in your signature or at the bottom.

Too many outbound links. Our spam filters will automatically block any posts that contain too many outbound links. Try to limit it to one or two.
Tips on great posts

Do comment on subjects and topics mentioned in the blog(s)

Do post something unique and give references to other websites when appropiate

Do post images or videos

Feel free to include a link or commercial message in your signature or at the very bottom of you posts.

Do contribute something unique and be respectful of other members opinions. Any “flame” threads or disrespectful discussions will be moderated accordingly.

Get A Gravatar To Have A Picture On Your Profile And Comment

As a web designer, I’ve long held the stance that it was better to have the visitors of your website upload the photo / picture of themselves to use for profiles and comments directly on your site ( local avatars). I knew of many third party websites that with plugins allowed you to use a universal avatar, but making each of your visitors leave your site and sign up it’s own set of problems. Plus there were lots of competing ones to choose, which third party service should you use?

We created the Industry News and Information Category to give you insight into the latest happenings as well as report on noteworthy historical events directly on the main blog.
As a visitor of this site you can create your own sub blog and report whatever you want to this community.
If you would like to see us mention it in the main blog on the front of this community. First post it in your subblog and then contact us with the request. WE regularly feature our members and their contributions. This can get you a a good deal of expsoure.
